A major banking institution was collecting fingerprints from thousands of applicants in multiple locations using print cards and “wet ink” fingerprinting.  More than 25 percent of their fingerprint submissions were rejected by the FBI and turnaround time could be measured in months. What’s more, the entire experience was less than desirable for the bank’s applicants.

The proprietary HANK fingerprinting system, provided exclusively by BIG's sister company, Fieldprint®, completely revamped the bank’s fingerprint program. Fieldprint® now handles the entire process: scheduling applicants at conveniently located livescan facilities; collecting fingerprints; transmitting them to the bank’s channeling agency; and tracking the process every step of the way.  Fieldprint® also stores the fingerprints in case the bank ever needs to submit them again.

Result

Result
Fieldprint® achieved dramatic improvements in the bank’s rejection rate and decreased turnaround time to hours for “clears” and days for “hits.” With fingerprints being collected by Fieldprint® professionals, rather than bank employees or the local police, the applicant experience is vastly improved and the bank saves staff time by not having to train and deploy personnel for the task.
