New FINRA Fingerprinting Process Begins December 6: What You Should Know

FINRA recently confirmed that it will transition its fingerprinting process on December 6, 2021.
As we previously confirmed, your existing fingerprinting program with BIG will continue as it currently stands, with no change to your candidate or firm experience. BIG remains a FINRA Electronic Fingerprint Submission (EFS) provider.
However, it is important to note that in preparation for FINRA's transition to a new back office system provider, FINRA will impose a week-long "blackout" period where fingerprints will not be processed. This period will run from 11PM ET on Monday, November 29 to 6:59AM ET on Monday, December 6th.
BIG has taken all of the necessary steps to ensure that our valued FINRA partners can continue to take advantage of the largest nationwide Livescan network and existing functionality as FINRA transitions to their new software.
