DCSA Announces Updated Electronic Fingerprinting Process Coming April 2024
The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) has recently announced a change in how they will permit receipt of electronic fingerprints.
Fieldprint, BIG's sister company and fingerprinting arm, provides our clients with secure and streamlined methods to electronically capture and transmit fingerprints. Since 2004 Fieldprint has processed fingerprints for a wide range of agencies and permissible purposes, including both Department of Defense contractors that upload fingerprints to SWFT, as well as federal agencies who submit fingerprints directly to the DCSA.
These adjustments signify a transformation in the technology-driven submission process for third party providers like Fieldprint. It is important to note that this updated process will not impact or alter the established workflow of fingerprint collection and tracking.
To guarantee a smooth transition without service interruptions, Fieldprint has already initiated development on this new process which will include a facilities clearance. Once in place, Fieldprint will continue to facilitate effective and streamlined fingerprint administration to the many federal agencies that we actively support. Our updates will be in place and rigorously tested well in advance of the upcoming April deadline. We do not anticipate any issues with this transition; Fieldprint has implemented thousands of SWFT clients and has extensive expertise with programs of this nature.
We are collaborating closely with the DCSA and will keep you informed throughout the transition process. Our next update will be distributed at the end of February. In the meantime, please reach out to your BIG Sales Executive or Account Manager if you have any questions regarding this update.
